Gearing Up 2008
Canada’s Motorcycle Skills Course

Gearing Up 2008 - Canada's Motorcycle Skills Course“On April 4, 5 & 6, 2008, I was enrolled in the first M2 course of the season at Loyalist College. I must admit I was very nervous. I had never ridden a motorcycle before and had already purchased an 883 Harley Roadster Low Rider so I was determined to pass the course (and I did!!). Determination alone was not enough. What made the difference were the instructors. Bill, Devin, Mike and John were amazing. It was their expertise and encouragement that kept me going. I don’t know how they knew when I was only applying the front brake or holding in the clutch unnecessarily but they did. There were 15 of us in the class and they did not miss a thing but never did they make me feel discouraged. There were always words of encouragement and praise. Safety was always put first,- but having fun was a must.

I am so pleased to be able to celebrate 60 on a Harley. I look forward to eventually getting my M license and hope by then that course will be offered at Loyalist. If those instructors can get me through the M2 program, I am sure they can get me to my M.”

With thanks,
Karen White
