M2 Exit Motorcycle Course
This new M2 Exit Course is recognized by the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario to issue permanent “M” licenses. This means that you do not have to go to the Ministry of Transportation for testing. Once you pass the M2 Exit Course, no further testing is required. (Your paperwork must be presented to the DriveTest Centre within six months.)
Who Should Attend: Qualified riders (see Prerequisites below) who want to tune their riding skills, gain a permanent "M" license, and learn safety management techniques.
Course Highlights: After a one hour on-lot evaluation and a three hour classroom session, the rest of the course is spent in practical training on the road and on your bike! Thanks to constant wireless communications you will be safely escorted through intersections, left and right turns, commercial and residential traffic, and you will also learn expressway skills.
You Will:
• Learn defensive driving techniques
• Refresh your low speed skills
• Learn vehicle control
• Practice emergency measures
• Perform in traffic situations
• Practice high speed pattern riding
• Ride using advanced riding procedures
Prerequisite: This course is designed for the experienced street rider who has completed an MTO-Approved motor-cycle safety training program and has held a valid M2 license for at least 18 months; or who has not completed an MTO-Approved course but has held a valid M2 license for at least 22 months.
Clothing: Applicants must provide their own helmet, leather gloves, leather boots, jacket (leather, jean or ballistic nylon) and pants. They must also provide a road worthy motorcycle (capable of highway speeds), as well as the ownership and insurance paperwork. Students should come prepared to ride on Friday night with their motorcycle and their riding gear.
A Word About Risk:
Motorcycling is inherently risky. Although we strive to provide a very safe training environment, there is still a risk of injury. These courses are strenuous, tiring, mentally and physically challenging. On an average course, a couple of people may have a minor accident and receive scrapes to knees and other body parts. A few people during the training season may incur more significant injuries such as fractures and sprains. You will be required to sign a waiver of claim prior to taking our course. If these risks are unacceptable to you, and you do not wish to sign the waiver, please do not register.
Investment: $410.00 plus taxes (Includes “M” license test—results are valid for only six months after passing the course.) Refund Requests accepted only until two weeks prior to your scheduled course starting date. All refunds are subject to a $55.00 cancellation fee.
